A detailed introduction to power boating that will enable you to safely take out your own powerboat in familiar waters in daylight and settled weather

This two day course provides a level of training and delivers maritime experience that is hard to obtain at any other centre. The Programs are conducted from our fleet of commercial hardboats by seasoned, experienced commercial Instructor/Skippers. Anyone using watercraft for the purposes of leisure or with a view to continuing their development for commercial needs will find the training package enjoyable, demanding and unequalled in terms of skill development.

All aspects of seamanship, boat handling and maritime considerations will be taught along with the use and care of safety equipment.

Basic knots, vessel preparation, extensive boat handling, safety drills along with anchoring and securing to a buoy are just some of the components of the course.

You will also learn some basic navigation and the factors that need to be taken into account when making your trip.

Successful completion of this course will also enable you to apply for the ICC (International Certificate of Competence). This qualification is required by most European countries to validate your competence to own or charter a boat.
